BCN Xuta! Barcelona, 2008
Project developed together with the artist Glòria Safont-Tria that addresses the informal uses of public space in the city.
Having observed and documented the way in which members different communities modified public spaces and created their own rules in order to be able to practice 'their sports' in Barcelona such as cricket or ecuavoley, we used some of these tactics in a collective action. A six people team played to kick a ball in the Barcelona downtown, making visible the limits of public space and the capacity of the game to generate social space.

BCN XUTA is a research undertaken for the exhibition Post-it city. Occasional Cities. Produced with Can Xalant's support, Mataró (Barcelona), 2008. Video and sound edition by Rafa Ruiz.
