ID Barrio MEX | MEXICO | 2013-

Ongoing research on strategies to analyze and represent a place located within the boundaries of an urban area. One of these strategies is carried out in the public space and symbolically signalizes these boundaries by building and placing a structure –bus stop- that temporarily enlarges the bus line to the limit of the urban area. It also aims at enhancing their inhabitants’ effort in building a common and shared space and comprises a reflection of the role of artists and researchers in complex social contexts, a reflection built upon the binomial local-visitor.

Project of IDENSITAT: Ramon Parramon, Laia Solé, Gaspar Maza and Elena Muñoz. In collaboration with SomosMexas / Jesús López, AMEXTRA y Thelma García. This project has been produced by a residency at Casa Vecina and SOMA, with the sponsorship of Fundación/Colección JÚMEX and Centro Cultural de España en México.

Now on view at Translocations, Barcelona, 2015.
